SORRY that this site hasn’t been updated for a few days. As you’ll see from the picture, I have just been in Moscow for a few days on a top secret mission.

In true cliffhanger style, I’ll leave it until the new year to reveal the purpose of my sojourn to Putinia. For now I will simply reveal that I did indeed take a black rollneck sweater and a box of Cadbury’s Milk Tray with me, and that I studiously avoided eating any sushi while I was there.

And what about the picture? Could it be that I am considering going over to the Dark Side (i.e. Russia Today)? Surely not!

Anyway, I will return in earnest in the new year - or sooner if I get really bored.

Meanwhile, I’d just like to send best wishes for a Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukah/Excellent Eid/Novel New Year to both readers of this blog. In the words of the late, great Dave Allen, “May your god go with you.”
